Hugh and Guinness

Featured All-Star Dogs: the Frenchies, (aka "snorty boys")
Hugh and Guinness

Guinness has the softest fur, and he loooves to snuggle. He and Hugh both love to play, but he prefers bigger, tuggier toys to the balls which Hugh enjoys chasing.

Guinness is sweet and sensitive and a lot more food motivated than Hugh. Sometimes he waits around to see if his brother maybe didn't finish all of his food, so he can sneak a little somethin'-somethin' extra. When I hang out in the backyard, Guinness is my little shadow. He loves to lounge in the sun next to me, and although he and Hugh have their own backyard hammock, he sometimes prefers to lounge on the human chairs.

Don't tell anyone, but Hugh is a sensitive guy. He can get his feelings hurt, and when that happens, he looks so sad. It's easy to cheer him up though, with lots of love. He loves to snuggle and get pets, and he super loves to hear what a handsome boy he is. If he can't get to a ball or toy he was playing with, he scratches at the floor near it until someone is alerted and fishes it out for him. He also can scratch at the floor for unknown reasons that after years of sitting him, I still can't figure out what he's doing or trying to tell me. He and his brother cuddle all night and are always up for anything! Except for on walks. Hugh doesn't like being on a leash. He will put on the super brakes and just refuse to go anywhere. But he also does not like to be carried. "Don't pick me up, I'm a man!" He will go, if and when he is ready, and not a minute sooner.

Hugh and Guinness are wonderful buddies of mine. We have shared a lot! They're both very compassionate, and when I was going through a hard transition while at their house, they were happy to play nurse and check on me. They are sweet, amazing boys. ❤❤❤
